Membership Director

Description: The Membership Director has overall responsibility for the overall direction, coordination and supervision of the Membership Department including all facets of sales operations of the club to include personnel issues, sales/membership, cleanliness and ensuring the club is achieving projected membership/sales goals.  Maintain the Membership Department business plan and marketing strategies to increase membership sales and Company products and services.

Requirements:
Sales Duties:
Generates sales leads through company-sponsored (walk-ins and TIs) and employee sponsored (outreach and promotions).
Oversees lead generation for sales team through Company-sponsored (walk-ins and TIs) and employee sponsored (outreach and promotions).
Maintains accurate records of all club-sponsored and employee-sponsored leads.
Follows up on all prospects by using established sales systems.
Conduct club tours using established sales systems.
Conduct telephone inquiries using established sales systems.
Establish and maintain the company protocol for sales tours and price presentation.
Motivate membership staff and monitor their production levels by using the established protocols and sales systems.
Hold daily production meeting with sales team.
Maintain and direct training and development of membership staff.
Establish and maintain active referral systems with the membership team.
Establish and maintain a lead bowl system and monitor on a monthly basis.
Develop and retain corporate client relationships through the membership team on a monthly basis.
Audit membership team on a monthly basis.
Maintains information on club history, background, philosophy, facilities, staff and policies. 
Provide excellent customer service to new and existing members.
Build a positive relationship with members by striving to determine fitness needs.
Initiate, develop and maintain personalized relationships with members.
Educate members on how the Company can help them achieve a healthier way of life.
Maintain an acceptable level of personal production.
Submit monthly game plan for training, promotions and department meetings to General Manager.

Management Duties:
Hire, train and develop membership staff.
Manage, monitor, and evaluate the performance of all membership staff.
Monitor the hiring, training and scheduling of all membership staff.
Attend and participate in club manager meetings as directed by the General Manager and Owner.
Properly manage and maintain sales payroll and budget.
Ensure that all sales staff is adhering to staff uniform policy including uniform and name tags at all times when on duty.
Responsible for managing disciplinary actions involving all membership staff.
Approves all schedules of each membership staff member.
Prepare, audit and submit membership payroll to General Manager.
Maintains a positive relationship with the rest of the staff.  Supports other staff in achieving their goals
Directly responsible for managing all sales system to ensure that stats are 100% accurate and submitted on a timely basis.
Submit all new hire and termination information to HR department.
Has a thorough knowledge of, adheres to and enforces club policies and procedures as they pertain to club operations.
Successfully completed the management Training courses.
